Plasma Televisions

What are Plasma Televisions?

Plasma Televisions incorporate technology known as a plasma display panel (PDP) and are typically sized above 37-inch or 940 mm. Within the PDP, many tiny cells located between two panels of glass hold an mixture of gasses, which are very stable so there is no risk of your plasma TV exploding! The gas in the cells is electrically turned into a plasma and in the process they emit light. Plasma displays are commonly confused with LCDs, another lightweight flatscreen display but with very different technology.
